Jim

Jim works at an outdoor store and bike shop in Corvallis, Oregon. He didn’t have much access to the outdoors growing up as a transgender kid in Oklahoma, but wasted no time catching up after escaping to the Pacific Northwest at the age of 18. As a certified mountain bike instructor, Wilderness First Responder, and licensed guide, he enjoys sharing his passion with others and promoting inclusivity in the outdoors.

When he’s not at his day job or playing outside, he fills much of his time volunteering as an American Packrafting Association board member, a Trevor Project crisis counselor, with the local search and rescue team, and serving on his local school board.

Charlie

Charlie is a high-energy border collie/heeler mutt that found herself in a county animal shelter after being rejected by her first family. She met Jim at an adoption event at his work, and was promptly introduced to a world of adventure and activity that she had only dreamed about in her previous life. Her many skills include long-distance running, parkour, riding on a bicycle, and running class II whitewater.
